Topsy Creek Road

Black & More finalized designs and project managed construction of upgrades along Topsy Creek Road under 2 stages of follows.

Stage 1.

• Causeway No.1 – Gooseberry Creek (350m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side).

• Causeway No.2 – Sand Hole (150m x 7m concrete causeway including 6/1200×900 box culverts and rock protection either side).

• Causeway No.3 – Boomerang Creek (250m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side).

Stage 2.

• Causeway No.4 – (150m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side).

• Road and Drainage Upgrades at Various Locations.

• Barge Ramp.

The aim of the project was to provide an alternate supply route to the Community during the wet season when other access roads are closed. These works were funded by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

MIP6 NPARC Bamaga Sewerage Lagoons Upgrade and Regional Waste Facility

Black & More are managing the delivery of the upgrade works to the Bamaga Sewerage Lagoons and construction of the new Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) Regional Waste Facility. The Bamaga Sewerage Lagoons Upgrade involves the expansion of existing primary and secondary treatment ponds and increase in effluent disposal area. The NPA Regional Waste Facility project involves construction of a new landfill facility at Injinoo, new waste transfer station at Umagico and the closure of the existing landfill facility at Umagico.

Aumuller Street Redevelopment

Design and documentation of upgrades to a major collector road in the Cairns road network including multiple intersection treatments and services upgrades.

Army Aboriginal Capacity Assistance Program – Laura

Technical advisor to the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. Black & More worked with Army and the community to deliver a reticulated sewerage system and treatement plant; a multipurpose administration building and sporting facilities.

Torres Strait Major Infrastructure Program

Program development and management of an awarded program to deliver health infrastructure projects across 20 island communities. Over 60 projects delivered comprising water treatment and supply; sewerage reticulation; roads, stormwater and subdivisions

Gab Titui Cultural Centre

Management of planning, design and construction of the award winning Gab Titui. The Centre includes; two gallery areas; external performance stage; conference facilities; administration buildings; retail space and gallery storage.
