Management of fast tracked planning, design and construction upgrades to various classrooms, administration areas and ambulant bathroom facilities at the Parramatta State School. This upgrade also included a new lift to facilitate access for ambulant students to access raised school buildings.

Black & More were engaged by Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council for the Documentation, Procurement, Construction Phase Services and Defects Liability Period to act as the consulting project manager for the delivery of works after Kowanyama experienced a Tropical Low which resulted in heavy rain events between 14 and 18 March 2016. Due to the heavy rain events, damage was caused to the essential public assets (in this case roads) and was deemed an “eligible” disaster by QRA NDRRA. Works included; • Scoping and road condition (REPA) • Submission Building • Obtaining approved Work Scope • Tender and Procurement • Sourcing replacement material • Construction Management • Reporting to QRA • Acquittal of funding
Black & More finalized designs and project managed construction of upgrades along Topsy Creek Road under 2 stages of follows. Stage 1. • Causeway No.1 – Gooseberry Creek (350m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side). • Causeway No.2 – Sand Hole (150m x 7m concrete causeway including 6/1200×900 box culverts and rock protection either side). • Causeway No.3 – Boomerang Creek (250m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side). Stage 2. • Causeway No.4 – (150m x 7m concrete causeway with rock protection either side). • Road and Drainage Upgrades at Various Locations. • Barge Ramp. The aim of the project was to provide an alternate supply route to the Community during the wet season when other access roads are closed. These works were funded by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
