Grand Opening of Powuppoon Haus

Black & More were pleased to attended the recent opening of TSRA’s new LMSU building, now proudly named: Powuppoon Haus.
The ceremony, that included a blessing of the building and a Welcome to Country, was attended by Board members, rangers and staff of the LMSU along with members of the Black & More team.
Powuppoon is the Traditional Kaurareg name for a large pheasant-like bird. The Powuppoon is considered to be “passionate about its surroundings, determined, steadfast and a conservationist, always seeking to preserve natural things” (Mr T Savage, 2021)
Like the Powuppoon, the TSRA strives to preserve the unique natural and cultural values of Zenadth Kes for the benefit of all.
We are very proud to have been a part this project for the TSRA. For more information on the great work done by the LMSU go to https://www.tsra.gov.au/the-tsra/programmes/env-mgt-program
